A little about me, this and that...
This webpage is an homage to Tom Tam, his healing system, and Tong Ren Therapy By Ramon Rivera.
After 18 years cultivating healing arts, it is what I continue to use as the foundation of my healing practice. The use of Tong Ren therapy and the Tom Tam healing system continues to astonish, heal and spread throughout the world. I get to witness replicable results in my practice. In the healing system, bodywork modalities may also be encouraged and or required, for many conditions; Chinese medical massage known as Tui Na (twee nah), cupping, magnetic hammer therapy and more.. Tom Tam gives a comprehendable, detailed, scientific description, of the human body’s bio electric system and how it can be used to improve the human body’s natural healing ability.
As for me and what's my story...
I was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, to two loving, wonderful parents. My father was hard working, always pursuing his passion to help others through health care. He managed medical clinics, founded "Salud Preventiva" in Puerto Rico, also years of research for a major insurance brand and government agencies in the U.S. His curiousity led him to personaly research natural remedies from all over the world. In conversations he mentioned things like, "Ancient indigenous cultures had their own medicines and healing systems", or " Western medicine does not have it all figured out". His life dream was to provide free, or affordable, comprehensive health care to the world. Everyone!
After my father departed to heaven in June of 97, I had the opportunity to spend time with my Godfather, Dr. Francisco J. Figueroa Rovira, MD. He spoke to me about how he was helping himself, family and medical practice, using an energy healing modality. Soon I received my introductory Reiki attunement from him. That experience awakaned me to the human right, gift of healing. It opened the door to a fountain of knowledge, truth, changing my life forever.
In March 2001 I was introduced to Grand Master Tom Tam L.Ac, and Master Santiago Sifre, L.Ac DOM. I received direct transmission of Tom Tam's healing system, therapeutic protocols, and scientific theories, with a special focus on the treatment of chronic illness, pain and rare disease. In my clinical apprenticeship with Master Sifre, I cultivated the following modalities to benefit patients suffering from chronic illness, pain and rare disease: Tong Ren Therapy, Tui Na Chinese Medical Massage, Magnetic Hammer Therapy and Cupping (Vasopneumatic Therapy), Discing, Dowsing and Qigong. These are the tools I still use today.
I also teach ancient Qigong (chee-gung) forms. I was certified and taught by Qigong Master Jeff Primack of the Supreme Science Qigong Center. These forms are all powerful methods of standing and sitting meditations, through purposeful breath, movement and visualization.
To all my teachers I am eternally grateful. I practice what they continue to teach me. Today I continue to assist many. Many are able to heal on different levels and live a better quality of life. I truly love what I do for it changed my life forever. I now enjoy life as a purposeful adventure full of miracles. Healing is possible. We are that powerful and able.
